This means the system is not centralized on one server or controlled by one entity. Its data is distributed across many nodes, or computers.

Many nodes keep a copy of this information. This shared record is called a ledger.

Because the system is not centralized, users have more control over their own information.

Blockchain makes each operation traceable and transparent. But why?
